Sicko - Amo Jones

" Because you can't fuck with fate."

Plot:

He was my foster brother.

He swore to protect me.

He failed.

They all failed.

I’m an open box of passé photographs, snapped in chaste daylight, but filtered in sepia. I’m the past that he tried to forget, and he was the future I needed. When he left six years ago, I screamed for him every night. But then it all stopped. My screams were suddenly muffled by cruelty, and further coaxed by pain.

But he has come back. He’s not the cute big brother I had a furtive crush on, or the bad boy, rich brat that I hated to love.

He’s the ruthless vice president of Wolf Pack MC, and he doesn’t answer to Royce Kane anymore.

He answers to Sicko

Conclusion:

Sicko was one of my most anticipated books this year and it did not dissapoint me.

It is a REALLY dark romance. There is plot twist after plot twist and everything that happened was completely unexpected. With some books I feel like the plot twists what you would expect but Sicko isn't one of those books.

There were so many layers to the hero, the heroine and the story line overall. There was suspense and sexual tension. Some of the scenes between Royce and Jade were hooooot. Like really really hot.

I believe that Jade might be one of Amo's strongest and one of my favorite heroines of hers'. No one will ever take Tillies' or Saskias' place but Jade comes close. She was so fierce and such a fighter.

Royce was a typical alpha male. He was possessive, protective and broody. He protects his loveed ones without any hesitation. Especially Jade. I also really loved his nickname for Jade. Never heard the nickname 'duchess' before. If you ask yourself why Royce is called Sicko or why it is the title of the book then definitely read the book because by the time you finish it you will have the answer to your question.

If sexual abuse is a trigger for you I would not recommend this book to you.

Be aware that 'Sicko' is a Standalone so don't fall in love with the side characters too much.

I had to think about my feelings for this book for a couple of days because I wasn't sure about it. After doing that I finally know that I really really enjoyed the story of Jade and Royce.

Amo Jones outidid herself again.

*I also want to thank Amo Jones for giving me an ARC in exchange for a honest review. *
