Plot

When Gianna watched her sister Aria getting married to a man she barely knew, she promised herself she wouldn’t let the same thing happen to her.
Matteo – The Blade – Vitiello set his eyes on Gianna the moment he saw her on his brother Luca’s wedding, and Rocco Scuderi is more than willing to give his daughter to him, but Gianna has no intention of marrying for any other reason than love. A few months before the wedding, Gianna escapes her bodyguards and runs away. She has enough money to flee to Europe and begin a new life. But staying undetected when the mob is searching for her is a challenge that takes everything, especially as one of their best hunters and assassins is after her: Matteo Vitiello.
After six months on the run, Gianna finally settles into a tentative routine in Munich, but then Matteo and a couple of her father’s soldiers find her with another man.
Despite her pleads they kill her boyfriend, and Gianna is forced to marry Matteo. Her emotions alternating between guilt over having dragged an innocent into her world and hatred toward Matteo, Gianna is determined to make life hell for her husband. But Matteo is a master at mind games and their struggle for power soon turns into hate-fueled nights of passion.

Conclusion

This is the third book in the Born in Blood Mafia Chronicles. The main charcters in this story are Arias sister Gianna and Lucas brother Matteo.

I already fell in love with those two charcters in Bound by Honor so I was really excited to read their story. I absolutely adored everything about Gianna and Matteo.

I loved their banter and the chemistry was out of this world. Everything was so super intense. The fact that Matteo never gave up hope on Gianna falling in love with him and how protective he was of her, especially in front of her father and his men, made me love him even more.

Of course there were some hot scene in their story too.

I am 100% certain that this is my favorite book in the whole series.

I would recommend this book to you if you like enemies to lovers, mafia romance and arranged marriages with a really stubborn heroine, probably the most stubborn heroine ever.

Bound by Honor - Cora Reilly

Plot

Born into one of the leading Mob families in Chicago, Aria Scuderi struggles to find her own path in a world where no choices are given. Aria was only fifteen when her parents betrothed her to Luca – The Vice – Vitiello, the oldest son of the head of the New York Cosa Nostra to ensure peace between the two families.
Now with eighteen, the day Aria has been dreading for years is looming dangerously: her wedding to Luca.
Aria is terrified of marrying a man she hardly knows, especially someone like Luca who got his nickname ‘the Vice’ for crushing a man’s throat with his bare hands. Luca might be one of the most sought after men in New York thanks to his good looks, wealth and predator-like charisma that radiates power, but the society girls throwing themselves at him don’t know what Aria does: that the bad boy aura isn’t just a game; blood and death lurk beneath Luca’s striking gray eyes and arrogant smile.
In her world a handsome exterior often hides the monster within; a monster who can just as easily kill as kiss you.
The only way to escape the marriage to Luca would be to run away and leave everything she’s ever known behind but Aria can’t bear the thought of never seeing her family again.
Despite her fear, she decides to go through with the marriage; Aria has grown up among predators like Luca and knows that even most cold-hearted bastards have a heart and she has every intention of working her way into Luca’s.

Conclusion

Cora Reilly's writing style is amaying. It makes it so easy to get into the story and also to keep reading. It was really easy to keep track of all the different mafia familys and all the different names that were mentioned.

Aria was a great heroine. She is strong, she loves her siblings and is basically their mother and she also did not fight the marriage to Luca but instead she accepted her fate and she accepts it with diggnity. She is quite obedient which makes her the perfect wife for a mobster like Luca Vitiello who by the way is as ruthless as possible.

I really loved how they both developed.

I also loved Matteo and Gianna  who were side characters in this story.

My only complaint would be that I wish that Bound by Honor was a longer book because I just can not get enough of them. They are such a great couple. Everything from the beginning until the very end was perfect.

If you like arranged marriage and mafia romances I think you will quite enjoy this story.

Remo Falcone is beyond redemption. As Capo of the Camorra he rules with a brutal hand over his territory – a territory the Chicago Outfit breached. Now Remo is out for retribution. A wedding is sacred, stealing a bride sacrilegious. Serafina is the niece of the Boss of the Outfit, and her hand has been promised in marriage for years, but kidnapped in her wedding dress on her way to church by Remo, Serafina quickly realizes that she can’t hope for saving. Yet, even in the hands of the cruelest man she knows, she is determined to cling to her pride, and Remo soon understands that the woman at his mercy might not be as easy to break as he thought. A ruthless man on a quest to destroy the Outfit by breaking someone they are supposed to protect. A woman intent on bringing a monster to his knees. Two families that will never be the same.

Conclusion:

I feel like this was one of Cora Reilly's best books so far. I loved Finas and Remos story. It had lots of action, angst and chemistry. After reading the first two books in the Camorra Chronicles I wasn't sure if I could even like Remo but I was honestly suprised of how much I like him now. Even if he is a crazy MOFO.
Twisted Pride kinda gave me Hades and Persephone vibes. What Remo does to save his little brother Adamo only makes me love him more. The only thing that I did not like about Twisted Pride was how Serafinas family developed. Unfortunately they started to really disgust me. Especially her twin brother Samuel.

Plot

As the right hand man and brother of the Capo of the Camorra, his lack of feelings is a blessing, not a curse – until his brother asks him to marry for the sake of the Camorra. Kiara Vitiello, cousin of the Capo of the New York Famiglia, is chosen to marry Nino Falcone to prevent war with the Camorra, but what she hears about Las Vegas makes her veins pulse with terror.
After her father betrayed his Capo and paid with his life, her family thinks marriage is her only chance to bring honor to her name; but only Kiara knows she’s a faulty prize given in return for peace.A man incapable of emotions and a woman scarred by the past – an arranged marriage with the potential to unite, or destroy…

Conclusion

Twisted Emotions was BREATHTAKING. I loved everything from the first to the last page. The storyline was phenomenal. It is in my TOP 5 Mafia books.

Kiara and Nino were perfect together. Ninos emotional development was one of the best parts of the story. Kiara was incredible. She loved Nino even when he could not show her his love for her. I liked how great the relationship of the Falcone brothers was and how they tried their best for Kiara. At the end of the book it felt like Kiara became the glue of the Falcone family.  I also loved how dark, cold and emotionless Nino was in most parts of the book.

Cora Reilly books just do something to my heart and to my body.

If you like slow burn, mafia romances I would recommend Twisted Emotions to you.

Bound by Vengeance - Cora Reilly

" You are worth more than anything I have ever owned or will ever own. "

Pages: 257

Published: January 20th, 2017

Kindle: 3,99 €

Paperback: 13,50 €

Plot:

Growl

He’d never had something to himself, never even dared to dream about owning something so precious. He was the unwanted bastard son who’d always had to content himself with the leftovers of others. And now they’d given him what only a few weeks ago had been out of his reach, someone he wasn’t even allowed to admire from afar, one of their most prized possessions. Thrown at his feet because he was who he was, because they were certain he would break her. He was her punishment, a fate worse than death, a way to deliver the ultimate punishment to her father who had displeased them so greatly.

Cara

She had always been the good girl. It didn’t protect her.
She didn’t know his real name. People called him Growl to his face, and the Bastard behind his back. Both were names he couldn’t possibly have chosen for himself. His eyes were empty, a mirror to throw back her own fear at her. He was a brutal hand of the Las Vegas Camorra.
And now she was at his mercy.

Conclusion:

Bound by Vengeance was quite entertaining. It had some really hot and steamy scenes. Cara and Growl had lots of chemistry. I liked that Growl did not use Cara as a doormat. One of my favorite things in this book is that the hero kept former fighting dogs as pets. It made me love him even more. Before I started reading Bound by Vengeance I saw a review on Goodreads that compared Growl and Cara to the Beauty and the Beast but in a Mafia - edition and I 100% agree with the person who wrote that. They got their well deserved Happily Ever After.

If you like dark mafia romance, Happily Ever Afters and a tortured hero than I would definitely recommend this story to you.

I had a plan, and it was solid.

Track down what was hidden away and take pleasure in toying with it.

Toying with her.

That plan, it worked like a charm.

Until it didn’t.

Turned out, the feisty little thing I found was far from what I hoped for.

She was different from all I knew and more than I expected.

She was light, and I’m the bastard who led her into darkness.

But this girl... she followed with a smile.

I told her I break pretty things.

She asked me to promise.

Bloody Heart - Sophie Lark

Available on KU
                                                                                                            Plot:

She Cut My Heart Open…
I only meant to steal a car. I didn’t know I was stealing a girl, too. Until the most gorgeous face I’d ever seen popped up in the rear-view mirror.
I fell hard, fast, and forever…
But she tore out my heart — left me alone and bleeding.
How can I forget her, when I have to see that damned perfect face on billboards and magazines?
It’s torture.
9 long years. I thought I moved on.
Then I saw her in the flesh…
And my heart started bleeding all over again…

                                                                                                Conclusion:

Bloody Heart was a great second chance romance. I loved Dante's character  so much. I loved everything about Simone. I understood every single decision she made and to be quite honest with you most heroines just make really impulsive decisions but I felt like she didn't.  I loved the action and the spicy scenes, oh boy, Sophie Lark knows how to write a good spicy scene.

Sophie Lark's writing style was amazing. It made it easy to get into the story and also to keep reading it. That's probably why I didn't take a break while reading it.

If you like a second chance and mafia type of romance I definitely do recommend Bloody Heart to you. I really enjoyed it.
