Paperback: 17,24 €

Plot

He walks the red carpet. She’s more familiar with vacuuming one.

When a scandal tarnishes the reputation of hot as hell A-lister, Patrick Walsh, he needs a reputation rescue, pronto.

Enter waitress Norah Peers–a nobody who’s average with a capital A. She’s available, dependable, and has sworn off men for the rest of her natural born life. In other words: the perfect match for a no-strings fake romance.

For the right amount of money, she can avoid waitressing and play the part of his dependable down-to-earth girlfriend. What she can’t avoid–dammit–is the growing steam between them.

But being hounded by the paparazzi and having her life dissected on social media is a panic attack in the making. And while Patrick might be a charming rogue on screen, in real life he’s a six-foot-two confusing, gorgeous, brooding grump, who keeps her at a distance . . . but also makes her feel like this bond between them might be more than just an act.

Being dumped on cue should be no big deal. Except being fake with Patrick is the realist relationship Norah has ever had. What’s a girl to do, but flip the script, and ask for a re-match made in Hollywood?

Conclusion

Since the "fake relationship turning into something real" is one of my favorite tropes I just had to read Kylie Scott's new book.
And let me tell you this, I don't regret it. AT ALL!!
It was really easy to get into because of how well Kylie Scott writes.

The book was written from Norah's POV. I loved her sassiness and how relateable she was. I also enjoyed that she didn't let anyone treat her like shit and how she stood up for herself in the end.

Patrick is a famous actor but still was very down to earth in my opinion. To be honest I feel like he didn't deserve the reactions to what he did. His behavior showed when exactly he realized he fell in love with Norah and I would've loved to read at least a few chapters from his point of view.

Patrick and Norah had such great chemistry that even when their relationship was "fake" it felt like it wasn't. It felt real the whole time.

Dirty - Kylie Scott

Pages: 290
Published: April 19, 2016 by St. Martin's Griffin
Kindle: 2, 67 €
Available on Audible

Plot

Love—on the rocks….

The last thing Vaughan Hewson expects to find when he returns to his childhood home is a broken hearted bride in his shower, let alone the drama and chaos that come with her.

Lydia Green doesn't know whether to scream or cry in a corner. Discovering the love of your life is having an affair on your wedding day is bad enough. Finding out it's with his best man is another thing all together.

Just when this runaway bride has nowhere left to turn, a handsome stranger offers her a broad, muscular shoulder to cry on. Vaughan is the exact opposite of the picture perfect, respected businessmen she's normally drawn to. This former musician-turned-bartender is rough around the edges and is facing his own crossroads. But Lydia's already tried Mr. Right and discovered he's all wrong--maybe it's time to give Mr. Right Now a chance.

After all, what's wrong with getting dirty?

Conclusion

Kylie Scott is one of my favorite authors of all time. From my own experience I can say that she hasn't written a single bad book. This was another amazing book of hers.

Lydia, the heroine, is so entertaining because of her humor and her insecurities made her even more relateable for me.
Vaughn, the hero, is super charming and I loved how protective and caring he is when it comes to Lydia.

The prologue had me hooked immediately. Everything from the first to the last page was absolutely perfect.

This book gets some extra points for having Stage Dive character cameos ;).

There really isn't much to say except that it was really really good. I have re read this every single year for the past four years I think and everytime I read it again it reminds me why it is one of my favorite books.

If you need a fast paced book with great main and side characters, sizzling chemistry, funny dialogues and a HEA or if you are just a fan of Kylie Scott I would recommend this to you.
