Plot:
World-renowned Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon is summoned to a Swiss research facility to analyze a cryptic symbol seared into the chest of a murdered physicist. What he discovers is unimaginable: a deadly vendetta against the Catholic Church by a centuries-old underground organization - the Illuminati. Desperate to save the Vatican from a powerful time bomb, Langdon joins forces in Rome with the beautiful and mysterious scientist Vittoria Vetra. Together they embark on a frantic hunt through sealed crypts, dangerous catacombs, deserted cathedrals, and the most secretive vault on earth . . . the long-forgotten Illuminati lair.
Conclusion:
'Angels and Demons' is the first book in Dan Browns Robert Langdon series.
The first time I read this book was when I was in seventh grade for a book report and I remember being so fascinated by every piece of information in this book. I devoured it.
It was a page-turner. There were a lot of things I did not expect.
I love how Dan Brown connected history with the present and turned it into such a great thriller.
If you are not into science to just not into reading about science this book probably might not be the best book for you. This might also not be good for you if you don't like to read about the Science vs. Religion Debate.
I'm not 100 % sure if I'm correct but I believe that everything about CERN and the Illuminati in this book is based on actual facts
What I enjoyed most about ' Angels and Demons ' beside the true facts is that it kinda felt like I was traveling with Robert Langdon.
5 out of 5 stars
