Plot:
Irresistibly drawn towards a group of demon hunters, Clary encounters the dark side of New York City - and the dangers of forbidden love.
Conclusion:
'City of Bones' is the first book in the 'The Mortal Instruments' series.
The first time I tried to read this book I had to DNF it. I just couldn't get through it. I'm glad I gave it another chance.
This is basically the introduction to the world of the Nephilim. City of Bones, I mean it is actually the whole Shadowhunter chronicles, has Vampires, Werewolves, romance, drama, and a whole lot of action. It also had good plot twists.
I loved Jace. He was sassy, his sarcasm was on fire and he had good humor.
What I did not like was Clary. I don't know why but I really didn't like her.
My favorite characters were definitely Magnus and Alec. Who would've thought that right? :D
'City of Bones' might be a slow and sometimes even a painful read but it gets better. I swear. It really does get better with every book.
5 out of 5 stars
