Plot:
Troy Brennan
Every Southie in Boston knows that name. The son of a dead mobster. The heart-throb with steel-blue eyes. "The Fixer" who can make or break you in this city.
Oh, and my new husband.
Sparrow Raynes
That's me. No one seemed to remember my name up until he barged into my life.
But then he caged me.
Kidnapped me.
And killed every chance I had to run away from the place where we grew up.
Put simply, Troy Brennan clipped my wings.
I have dreams, big ones, but I doubt he'll ever let me chase them. I have no idea why he decided to take me as his wife. But I do know this: pissing off this man will not do me any good. At all.
Conclusion:
Sparrow is a Standalone with a HEA. It's an irish mafia story about Sparrow, the main heroine, who gets' kidnapped by Troy Brennan and has to marry him.
Sparrow was filled with some really hot scenes and mystery. It was super angsty and definetly not an insta-love story.
What I really loved about Sparrow was that eventhough she was a nice and kind of an innocent girl she still stood up to Troy. She had a backbone and she did not let Troy intimidate her. I also loved how ecenthough she was married to a rich man, she still wanted to go to work.
Troy. He was one of the most intense alpha man I have ever read about. Troy stayed true to himself. He was not a good man or a good husband for most of the book but I feel like in the end you could tell how much he actually loved Sparrow.
If you want to read a little bit more about Sparrow and Troy, their daughter Sailor has her own book which is "The Hunter" and I would really recommend that book too.
